1. Account Creation and Eligibility

To use our Service, you must log in via a valid Google Account. By registering, you agree that:

• You will provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials.
• You will notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breaches of your account.

2. Description of Service and Quotas

Chess Daily Training is a premium chess learning and analysis platform designed to help users upload PGNs, import videos, organize study material, and complete daily training tasks.

The Service is offered with both a free tier (Standard) and paid subscription tiers (Pro and Pro-Coach). Each tier includes specific quota allowances (such as video storage, PGN game limits, and daily training sessions) as detailed on our pricing page and account settings. We reserve the right to modify these allowances or tier features in accordance with these Terms.

3. User Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of any chess games, annotations, PGN files, and materials you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Chess Daily Training a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and process your content solely to deliver the Service to you.

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Upload any files or content that infringe on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Perform malicious activities, distribute viruses, or attempt to compromise the integrity and security of our databases and servers.
• Engage in automated extraction of chess puzzles, API scraping, or reverse engineering of the application without prior written consent.

4. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content, all materials, software, designs, logos, graphics, and features on Chess Daily Training are the exclusive property of Chess Daily Training and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5. Subscription Billing, Plan Changes, and Refund Policy

5.1 Recurring Charges & Payment Processing

Certain premium features (including Pro and Pro-Coach tiers) require an active paid subscription billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method on file until cancellation. All subscription prices are stated in US Dollars (USD), exclusive of applicable sales taxes or VAT. Receipts and billing history are accessible through the Stripe Customer Portal on your account profile.

5.2 Plan Changes (Upgrades & Downgrades)

You can change your subscription tier or billing interval at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal:

• Upgrades (e.g., Pro to Pro-Coach, or Monthly to Annual): Upgrades take effect immediately. The unused portion of your current billing period is prorated and applied as a credit toward the new plan, with only the remaining net difference charged to your payment method.
• Downgrades (e.g., Pro-Coach to Pro, or Annual to Monthly): Downgrades take effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle. You will retain all benefits, storage quotas, and feature access of your existing tier until the cycle renewal date, after which your account will automatically renew at the lower plan rate.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time with one click through the Stripe Customer Portal linked in your account Profile settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period; you will retain full access to your paid tier and features until that date, and no subsequent renewal charges will be made.

5.4 Refund Policy

We aim to be fair and transparent with our refund policies:

• Annual Subscriptions: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time annual subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your initial annual purchase by emailing [email protected].
• Monthly Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions are pay-as-you-go and generally non-refundable once billed. Accidental renewals or un-utilized accounts reported within 48 hours of billing may be reviewed for a one-time courtesy refund.
• Refund Processing: Approved refunds are returned via Stripe to your original payment method (typically appearing within 5–10 business days depending on your financial institution). When a full refund is issued, paid privileges are revoked immediately and the account reverts to the Standard free tier.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and restrict your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in behavior harmful to other users or the platform.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. CHESS DAILY TRAINING DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CHESS DAILY TRAINING, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the publication of new Terms means you accept and agree to the modifications.
